After my PhD, I obtained two post-doctoral fellowships at the Department of Ancient History, and at the Department of History in Bologna. I was an assistant researcher at the Department of Classics, King’s College London, and I had a research fellowship at the Institut für Alte und Neu-Testamentliche Wissenschaft, University of Salzburg.

I have been tecnico laureato (research and administrative position) at the Department of History, University of Bologna.

In 2006-2007, I was acting curator papyrologist at the Center for the Tebtunis Papyri, University of California at Berkeley, and in 2007-2009 lecturer at the Department of History and at the Department of Classics, University of California at Santa Barbara.

I am currently lecturer (assistant professor) in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Manchester.
